To stop talking about the Orioles’ low payroll and when that might change would be to let the club off the hook, so by all means that can continue.

A Sunday afternoon read-through of all those comments from CEO John Angelos and executive vice president Mike Elias from their 105.7 The Fan appearances Friday, however, distilled the real crux of the issue for me in a way that a certain payroll target or list of model organization can’t.
