He joins Franchy Cordero and Nomar Mazara as potential platoon bats who are throwing their hat into the ring to claim to be the first great Orioles reclamation project at the plate.
It makes sense that they’re the types that they’re going after for filling this kind of need — it’s not really a significant need in the first place. If it were, and there’s certainly a scenario where one could make the case that it’s at least a little pressing, they’d be doing more to fill it.
