t’s important to remember that the way the Orioles spent most of 2022 – winning games and making everyone feel good about their rebuild being over – is the reason why the last month or so of anticlimactic offseason activity feels as low as it does.
The winter’s moderation shouldn’t take away from all the meaningful positives that came out of the Orioles’ 2022 season, though. All of a sudden, they just started winning, and kept winning, albeit at a pace just shy of what could get them to the playoffs.
Their hope, as well as the hope of everyone following them, is that it wasn’t a fluke. There needs to be durable reasons for the improvement for that to be the case, and in many cases there were. Tomorrow, we’ll hit on the questions that magnified in 2022. But for now, here are the four things that could last out of the 2022 Orioles turnaround.
