Mike Elias' season-ending media session might have told us more about the Orioles' offseason plans than it seemed
The Orioles' GM left all his options open for this pivotal offseason, but might have hinted at a direction Wednesday.
For the first time since Mike Elias took over the Orioles in 2018, the club embarks on an offseason in which anything is possible. So it makes sense that he ruled out nothing, and did little to tip his hand on the front office’s preferred direction of improving the club.
He left some breadcrumbs, though, and that leaves plenty to parse from nearly a half-hour that he and manager Brandon Hyde spent addressing the media for the end of the season Wednesday at Camden Yards.
